Sadlers Wood

By Does Your Duck Quack · Reviewed 20 October 2026

North Walsham

Sadlers Wood is a compact woodland visit on the eastern side of North Walsham, with Scots pine planted in the 1950s and older oak, sweet chestnut and hornbeam. The council’s wildlife inventory lists Nuthatch, Treecreeper, Great Spotted Woodpecker and several common songbirds. Woodland rides and the adjoining grassland give visitors a mix of cover and open edges to explore. Spring bluebells are another reason to linger. Its urban setting makes this a useful shorter birdwatching walk while staying in the town.
