Hoveton Great Broad Nature Trail
Bure Marshes, near Wroxham
Hoveton Great Broad gives boat-borne visitors a way into the wet woodland and fen of Bure Marshes. The landscape combines shallow open water, reedbeds and alder carr, with the reserve’s bird interest including Marsh Harrier and summer reedbed warblers. A visit belongs with a planned river journey: the nature trail has no road entrance. The short walk is a useful contrast to watching the Broads from the water, with the changing vegetation rewarding slow progress and quiet listening.
