Loch na Muilne

By Does Your Duck Quack · Reviewed 20 October 2026

Arnol · HS2 9DJ

Loch na Muilne occupies an exposed coastal landscape near Arnol on the Isle of Lewis. Small lochs, wet heath and the nearby rocky coast support a varied bird community. The operator names Fulmar, Shag and Black Guillemot along the coast, with Gannet visible offshore. Flowers provide additional late-spring and summer interest. Use the public waymarked route and heed seasonal markers, which keep visitors away from sensitive wetland habitat. This is an open-air walk without a visitor centre or shelter.
