Trinity Broads

By Does Your Duck Quack · Reviewed 20 October 2026

Filby and Rollesby, north of Great Yarmouth · NR29 3LR

The Trinity Broads combine clear open water with reed-fringed margins and wet woodland. They supply drinking water and are managed for wildlife through a partnership led by their owner, Essex & Suffolk Water, with NWT and public agencies. Short public paths provide views rather than a continuous circuit of every broad. Winter is the main wildfowl attraction, including Goldeneye and Shoveler; rough coastal weather can also bring Scaup or Long-tailed Duck. Summer Hobby and Marsh Harrier add interest above the water and reedbeds. This is a useful stop for visitors staying near Great Yarmouth who want an inland waterbird site with straightforward public parking at Filby.
