Sandringham Royal Parkland

By Does Your Duck Quack · Reviewed 20 October 2026

Sandringham, near King's Lynn · PE35 6AB

Sandringham Royal Parkland is a useful woodland alternative to the north Norfolk coast, with conifers, broadleaved trees and a mixed understorey beside public walking trails. Nuthatch, Treecreeper and Marsh Tit are among the birds identified by NarVOS, which recommends autumn through spring for woodland watching. A slow walk gives time to listen for calls and compare birds moving across trunks, branches and lower vegetation. The Courtyard provides a practical starting and finishing point for a shorter outing. Entry to the parkland is free, while parking is charged under the estate’s current arrangements.
