Between Goodwick and Fishguard

Goodwick Moor offers a wetland walk close to Fishguard and Goodwick, with reedbeds, ditches and willow and alder carr. The Wildlife Trust names Sedge Warbler in the reeds and Snipe and Siskin as winter visitors. A replacement boardwalk and wildlife pond have reopened a route through the reserve after a long closure; the new path avoids more sensitive ground. This is a modest stop for watching and listening from the permitted boardwalk. Water levels rise from autumn into spring, and heavy rain combined with spring tides can flood the moor, so access still depends on conditions.
