Short birdwatching visit · Brundall Parish Council
Brundall Church Fen
Brundall · NR13 5LZ
Church Fen is a small wet woodland beside the River Yare at Brundall, with fen vegetation and alder carr on an old floodplain. The parish council’s bird survey documents Blackcap, Cetti’s Warbler, Marsh Tit and Treecreeper using the reserve. It offers a quiet woodland-and-river contrast to the open broads nearby. Access is from Church Lane, but the boardwalk is currently closed. Keep to the eastern path where passable and turn back if it is under water; the council warns that wet conditions can make the ground difficult.
