Booton Common

By Does Your Duck Quack · Reviewed 20 October 2026

Booton, near Reepham · NR10 4NT

Booton Common lies in a small tributary valley of the River Wensum, combining damp grassland and scrub with mixed deciduous woodland. The operator emphasises its plants and varied habitats, while the county bird club records winter Snipe and Woodcock and familiar woodland species. Bullfinch and Green Woodpecker provide further reasons to listen as well as scan. It is a useful quieter local alternative to a busy coastal reserve, especially for a short walk from the village. Limited roadside parking and access by public footpath keep this a modest countryside stop.
