Blackborough End public viewing paths

By Does Your Duck Quack · Reviewed 20 October 2026

Blackborough End

Blackborough End is a public-path watching area overlooking private gravel pits, streams and woodland near the village. The changing mixture of water and trees provides bird interest through the year, with Kingfisher, Great Crested Grebe and Little Grebe named by NarVOS. Winter adds Goldeneye, while Cuckoo is a spring and summer possibility. The club describes an approach from the bridleway parking area to the viewing paths. Keep the visit entirely on those public and permissive routes: the pits and neighbouring industrial land are private, and their inclusion here does not grant access through gates or onto working ground.
