Nigg Bay overlooks the Cromarty Firth, where mudflat, saltmarsh and wet grassland support substantial winter birdlife. Pink-footed Goose, Wigeon and Pintail are among the wildfowl highlighted by the operator. Lapwing, Snipe and Redshank use the managed grassland, adding a different interest in spring and summer. A public hide makes this a useful short stop for people exploring Easter Ross. The accessible approach is relatively short, and the open view rewards a patient scan of the bay and adjacent wet ground.
