Cwm Clydach follows a wooded river valley near Swansea, with a mixture of streamside and woodland birds. Dipper and Grey Wagtail are associated with the flowing water, while spring and summer bring Pied Flycatcher, Wood Warbler and Redstart to the trees. The lower riverside path offers a different outing from the steeper woodland circuit beyond the footbridge. A short walk can focus on listening as well as looking, with the river providing a clear line through the reserve.
