Dan-y-graig approach, Swansea
Crymlyn Bog is an extensive lowland fen where a short waymarked walk and boardwalk sections bring visitors into reed and sedge habitat. Natural Resources Wales names Reed Warbler, Sedge Warbler and Grasshopper Warbler among the birds breeding on this reserve. Early summer is highlighted for reedbed birdsong, making listening from the boardwalk as useful as searching the vegetation. The Bog Walk follows level grassy tracks and several gates over about 1.2 kilometres. Stay on the provided route: the fen beyond the boards contains dangerous wet ground, and the canal towpath has deep water alongside it.
