Fen Lane, Thelnetham · IP22 1JX

Thelnetham Fen brings together open fen, wet woodland and the reed-fringed Little Ouse. Suffolk Wildlife Trust identifies Sedge Warbler, Reed Warbler and Reed Bunting in the reedbed habitat. A roughly one-mile circuit provides a way to explore the landscape from the authorised paths. This is wet-ground walking rather than a surfaced promenade: narrow and uneven sections can be soft or muddy. Leave time to listen and watch without entering the reeds, and choose a different outing if the conditions exceed what your group can comfortably manage.
