Stonebridge Lane, Fulbourn
Fulbourn Fen offers a varied meadow and woodland walk east of Cambridge, with wet hollows, grassland and old earthworks. The Wildlife Trust describes winter Snipe in the softer fen ground, alongside Chiffchaff and Great Spotted Woodpecker in the wood. Orchids are a major spring and early-summer attraction. Sheep and cattle help manage the meadows, so follow signs and keep dogs close. The reserve has daylight-only access: longer summer evenings do not establish permission to enter after the operator's stated hours.
