Near Aston Clinton, south-east of Aylesbury

Dancersend combines two sheltered Chiltern valleys with a varied woodland canopy and open chalk grassland. The Wildlife Trust names Marsh Tit, Tawny Owl and both Green and Great Spotted Woodpeckers here, giving a woodland walk a clear birding purpose. Footpaths and bridleways pass through the reserve, with a shorter wildlife walk for a compact visit. The woodland is interspersed with clearings rather than forming one uniform plantation. Public access does not include every part of the Waterworks section: a visitor permit is required for part of that area. Follow on-site notices around woodland management work.
