Cranberry Rough

By Does Your Duck Quack · Reviewed 20 October 2026

Near Hockham, viewed from the Great Eastern Pingo Trail · IP24 1SQ

Cranberry Rough is a wet woodland and fen basin that can be watched from the raised Great Eastern Pingo Trail along its western edge. The reserve itself is inaccessible because of treacherous ground, so this is a public-trail viewing stop rather than a walk into the wetland. NWT’s February 2024 guide lists winter Teal, Gadwall, Pochard and Shoveler, with Snipe also described in the current guide. It suits a pause during a Pingo Trail walk. Stay entirely outside the fragile fen and its floating vegetation.
