Dingle Marshes

By Does Your Duck Quack · Reviewed 20 October 2026

Dunwich · IP17 3BY

Dingle Marshes offers a contrast of reedbed, coastal marsh, salty lagoons, woodland and shingle beside Dunwich. Bittern, Marsh Harrier and Bearded Tit are the main birds highlighted by the RSPB, with warbler song adding summer interest. A public-path circuit lets visitors experience the changing habitats, including the edge of Dunwich Forest. The setting is open to coastal weather, and the shore section crosses loose shingle. Respect any protective fencing, and keep to the permitted paths through the marsh and woodland rather than approaching birds on the beach.
