Great Raveley Drain entrance west of Ramsey Heights

Woodwalton Fen preserves a fragment of the historic wet fens, with reedbeds, meres, ditches and damp woodland. The Great Fen operator describes Kingfisher and Marsh Harrier here, while its official Waterbirds Trail leaflet names summer Reed Warbler. Current restrictions matter more than an older trail diagram: Rothschild’s hide is closed because its bridge is unsafe, and some mapped paths are unavailable. Use the open signed routes and diversions, rather than assuming every hide or dotted path on the map can be reached.
