Tayport, Morton Lochs and Kinshaldy

Tentsmuir offers distinct coastal and inland birding visits at the mouth of the Tay. NatureScot names winter Snow Bunting, Pink-footed Goose and Eider at Tentsmuir Point, while Morton Lochs has its own freshwater and woodland watching. Choose the approach that matches the habitat you want: Tayport and Kinshaldy serve shore routes, while Morton Lochs has a separate car park and hides. A visit works best with enough time to follow one public route carefully. Stay on authorised paths, leaving resting birds and seals undisturbed, and follow current diversion signs for the forest car park.
