Park Road, Rushall, Walsall

Park Lime Pits is a local nature reserve centred on two former limestone workings that now form pools beside beech woodland. Walsall Council names Moorhen, Lapwing and Yellowhammer among its birds, giving this more substance than a general park walk. Follow the reserve paths to compare the pool margins with the adjoining open ground rather than expecting every species at the water. A circular route links the reserve with the Lime Pits Farm walk. Grass paths, steps and gradients mean the route needs choosing with care if mobility is limited.
