Wolseley Bridge beside the River Trent
The Wolseley Centre Nature Reserve provides a manageable wetland birding walk around three lakes and beside the River Trent. Kingfisher, Water Rail and Goosander appear in the Trust’s own reserve species list; no guaranteed sightings or individual seasons are implied. The boardwalk and accessible paths offer several ways to look over the water, while the visitor centre can help explain which routes suit current conditions. Choose the lakeside and river watching places rather than treating the gardens alone as the birding destination. Some sections can be uneven or boggy despite the wider provision for accessible visits.

Getting there: The Trust gives ST17 0WT for its Wolseley Bridge visitor arrival. Grounds normally open from 9am to 5pm, with capacity limits possible on busy days. Ask the visitor-centre team about the current walking routes rather than assuming every river or meadow path is equally accessible.
