Cwm-bach Llechrhyd, near Builth Wells · LD2 3RU

Cors y Llyn combines a flower meadow, wet woodland and a remarkable stand of stunted Scots pine on waterlogged peat. NRW names Pied Flycatcher, Redstart and Wood Warbler as summer visitors, with Woodcock and Snipe in winter. Follow the marked circuit from the small car park to compare the meadow edge with the swamp woodland. The boardwalk gives views into the bog without entering its fragile surface. This is a compact place for a patient stop, with seats along the route and other wildlife interest when birds are quiet.
