Ballintoy, north Antrim coast

Carrick-a-Rede combines a coastal walk with views of sea cliffs and the famous rope bridge near Ballintoy. The National Trust names Guillemot, Razorbill and Kittiwake on the island and adjoining mainland, so the public coast offers a seabird stop without assigning distant island birds to this site. Watch from the managed path and viewpoint areas, keeping away from cliff edges. Bridge access is a separate practical consideration: advance booking is essential, and opening depends on the operator's current arrangements. The walk itself includes uneven ground and steps beyond its initial accessible section.
