Cambus Pools places reedbeds, grassland and open water behind an industrial area on the Inner Forth. The contrast is part of its character: a small wetland can retain value for birds within a much busier surrounding landscape. Reed Bunting appears in the reserve overview, with Skylark and Swallow in the site’s wildlife selection. The public approach follows a riverside footpath rather than a route through the industrial premises. Keep watching from the path and resist entering reeds or grazing ground for a closer view of birds.
