Bickley, near Malpas

Bickley Hall Farm is an organic working farm managed to provide hay meadows, bird seed crops, hedges and wet grassland for wildlife. A dedicated nature trail leads off the Sandstone Trail, allowing visitors to see these habitats without wandering through the working farm. The Trust’s farm bird list identifies winter Brambling and Tree Sparrow, alongside resident Reed Bunting. This is therefore a farmland bird stop with a defined public route rather than an invitation to explore fields freely. Parking and toilet availability is limited to specified weekday hours, even though the Sandstone Trail itself can be used throughout the year.
