Quoile Pondage Nature Reserve

A former tidal estuary transformed into a freshwater lake, with reed-fringed bays, rushy grassland, wet scrub and developing woodland. Migrating waders use the reserve in spring and autumn; summer brings swans and breeding wildfowl including Gadwall, while large numbers of Wigeon and other ducks gather in winter alongside grebes, Grey Herons and Cormorants.
