North Gare, south of Seaton Carew

North Gare provides a public starting point for watching the dunes and grazing marsh on Teesmouth’s northern side. Natural England names winter Lapwing and Curlew here, with Short-eared Owl hunting over dune grassland. The common and coast give broad views, so settle at a permitted position and compare the birds moving through the scene. Keep to the main routes and respect fences and local signs. This entry covers the North Gare and Seaton Common outing, leaving Seal Sands to a separately planned visit.
