Norwood Road, north of March railway station

Norwood Road is a small wetland reserve on the northern side of March, developed from former cottages and a railway borrow pit. The Wildlife Trust lists Water Rail and Cetti’s Warbler, alongside Coot, Moorhen and Mallard at the pool. Marsh, scrub and open water are close together, making this a compact local visit. The extensive boardwalk does not mean the reserve is accessible to every visitor: the operator explicitly says that the site can be very wet and is unsuitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
