Reserve entrance between Sinton Green and Monkwood Green

Monkwood offers an established woodland circuit through mature trees, coppiced patches and open rides, with adjoining Green Farm land being restored for wildlife. The Trust’s own Monkwood interpretation sign names Chiffchaff, Blackcap and Willow Warbler as birds nesting in the scrubby edges of its open spaces. Follow the public and permissive paths from the small entrance car park to compare these different stages of woodland growth. The main track has a surface but remains uneven, while paths farther into the wood can become muddy and slippery after rain.
