Carlton Road, Harrold · MK43 7DS
Harrold-Odell offers two lakes and River Great Ouse meadows for a varied north Bedfordshire visit. The park’s summer-bird gallery names Nightingale and Water Rail; the county bird club also lists Great Crested Grebe, Kingfisher and Bullfinch throughout the year. Open-water watching can be combined with a quieter look through the woodland and river-side vegetation. Choose the Grebe Lake circuit or a shorter return from the main visitor area rather than assuming every path must be covered. The main arrival has a café and toilets, while the nature-reserve section has different dog rules from the wider park. Check those boundaries before choosing a route with a dog.
