Garrion Gill is a small ancient woodland on the steep sides of a burn above the Clyde Valley. The Trust names Spotted Flycatcher, Sparrowhawk and Woodcock in its overview, while the tree cover also shelters deer and badgers. A maintained route gives access down to a bridge across the gill, making the public path the appropriate place to watch. Keep away from the cliffs and steeper slopes beside it. Ground-nesting birds and possible livestock require a quiet visit, with dogs on leads rather than ranging through the woodland or meadow.
