Fiskerton to South Ferry road, near the River Witham · LN3 4HU
Fiskerton Fen is a small restored wetland beside the River Witham, with open water, reedbed and a fringe of scrub. Its public path reaches a hide built in the style of a Bronze Age hut, linking wildlife watching with the area's archaeological interest. Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust specifically names Yellowhammer, Corn Bunting and Linnet using the scrub for shelter and song posts. Their inclusion is site evidence rather than a promise of a particular day's birds. Choose a quiet watch around the water and scrub edges, keeping to the treated paths. Wet weather can make even those surfaces muddy.
