Near Llanbedr · LL45 2PF
Coed Crafnant is an ancient Atlantic oak woodland on a steep hillside above Llanbedr. Veteran trees, moss-covered rocks and damp terraces create a strongly wooded setting, and the Wildlife Trust names Wood Warbler, Pied Flycatcher and Redstart among its birds. Public approaches lead into the reserve from the valley road, but the woodland paths are rough rather than easy nature trails. This makes it a good choice for a visitor seeking a woodland birding walk who can manage steep and slippery ground. The remote valley also has very little mobile signal.
