Copt Oak, Charnwood Forest · LE67 4UX
Charnwood Lodge brings together heath grassland, woodland and wet ground in the Charnwood Forest landscape. The Wildlife Trust highlights Tree Pipit in spring and summer and describes Lesser Spotted Woodpecker as rare. The county bird club also identifies passage Ring Ouzel and possible Wood Warbler among the reasons for a birding visit. These are possibilities, rather than promised sightings. Plan access before travelling: parts of the reserve and its parking are restricted to Trust members. The Trust asks all visitors to remain on the marked paths.
