River Mimram valley, beside the Tewin Bury Farm Hotel approach
Tewinbury offers a compact hide-based birding visit in the Mimram Valley. A lagoon and reed-filled channels sit among tall fen, alder carr and willow scrub, with a paved public approach to the hide. The Wildlife Trust names Kingfisher in spring, Cetti’s Warbler in summer and Green Sandpiper in autumn and winter. These different seasonal targets make it worth checking the lagoon slowly rather than treating the short approach as the whole visit. Entry is from the road approach to Tewin Bury Farm Hotel, with the reserve’s visitor route clearly distinct from wandering through private hotel grounds.
