Wigmore Village Hall and northward public-footpath approach
Parky Meadow preserves a wet-grassland habitat in the low-lying Teme floodplain north of Wigmore. The Trust’s exact-site species list includes Snipe, Reed Bunting and Sedge Warbler, making this a purposeful meadow-edge listening and scanning stop. Follow the public approach from Wigmore and keep to field margins in spring to avoid disturbing breeding birds. The reserve is not a surfaced circuit: tussocks make walking uneven, summer growth can prevent exploring the interior, and flooding or waterlogging can cut off parts of the site. Choose a short permitted view rather than trying to cover every corner.
