Fordham Road, south of Isleham
Isleham’s railway reserve occupies a former rail corridor beside chalk grassland south of the village. The county council names Skylark, Yellowhammer and Bullfinch in its wildlife description; the parish’s neighbourhood plan also records Bullfinch and Lesser Whitethroat at this reserve. The Friends and councils manage the site together. Fencing protects the adjacent grassland, with walking directed beside the railway reserve and around the lower field compartment. This entry covers that railway site, so use its Fordham Road approach rather than the separate Isleham Wash beside the River Lark.
