Small parking space on the track south of the A6105
Gordon Moss is a quiet peatland reserve where birch woodland has developed above wet ground. The Scottish Wildlife Trust manages the eastern side and names Reed Bunting, Willow Warbler, Skylark and Barn Owl in its reserve information. This is a low-facility birding stop for visitors comfortable with boggy terrain, rather than a surfaced woodland circuit. There are no maintained paths, so assess conditions carefully from the public approach and avoid pushing into wet ground. The small parking space only accommodates a couple of vehicles, making this best suited to an unhurried individual visit rather than a group arrival.

Getting there: From Gordon take the A6105 west past Greenknowe Tower and turn left onto the signed reserve track described by the Trust. The reserve lies south of the parking space. The pin follows the operator’s published directions endpoint; this is a rough, wet visit with no promised surfaced circuit.
