Craig o’ Loch Road, Forfar

Forfar Loch supports a straightforward waterbird watch beside the town, with a four-kilometre path around the water and woodland along parts of the shore. A November local RSPB visit recorded Wigeon, Tufted Duck and Goldeneye on the loch before moving to Kinnordy; those other-reserve records are excluded here. Begin from the Ranger Centre side and pause where the open shoreline gives views across the water. The full circuit is optional for a short birding stop, and the operator describes the route as suitable for all abilities.
