Main reserve car park at Hendre
Coed y Felin combines ancient woodland and a managed meadow near the former mining village of Hendre. The Trust’s leaflet names Pied Flycatcher as a summer highlight, with Jay and Tawny Owl in its winter selection. A lower route follows the old Mold–Denbigh railway line, while higher paths introduce steeper ground and steps. Begin from one of the documented public parking areas and choose the route that suits the group. This is a compact woodland birding stop with a clear seasonal list, where a quiet pause beside the trees can be more useful than covering every path.
